Ready for The Green Life?

Looks like Adrian Grenier may need his own Entourage to help shuffle him back and forth between acting gigs. The word on the grassy knoll is the star of the popular HBO series has booked a hosting gig on Discovery Channels’ new upcoming network, Planet Green. The show has tentatively been given a very familiar title as our own website, “The Green Life.” The format is similar to numerous home makeover shows but instead of redecorating for a quick sale the program focuses on remodeling people’s homes, dorm rooms, businesses and even film and TV stage sets with cool, eco-friendly features. Grenier doesn’t just talk the talk but lives the green life as his own home in Brooklyn uses recycled blue-jeans for insulation, reclaimed oak floors and a solar roof. As a highlight of the show, he will also personally give a green makeover to his newly purchased L.A. area home.
Planet Green recently announced another new 10-episode series called “Wasted”, hosted by actress and comedienne Annabelle Gurwitch, best known as the co-host of the cult favorite “Dinner and a Movie” on TBS and handyman Holter Graham.
Wasted will challenge homeowners to reduce their general consumption in three weeks, and will then be rewarded cash based on their planetary savings.
Discovery Communications, Planet Green, the first-ever 24-hour television network dedicated solely to green lifestyle programming, is scheduled to premiere in June 2008.
